The United Jewish Federation of Tidewater nurtures a vibrant, engaged, inclusive and caring Jewish community whose collective action is guided by our values.
Help Jews in UkraineAnywhere around the world, if Jews are in crisis, the Tidewater Jewish community joins together to help. Today, Jews in Ukraine are struggling.
They’re living in combat zones, or have fled their homes, or are trapped—cut off from the rest of the world because of political and economic turmoil in their country.
Your gift to the UJFT Ukraine Assistance Fund will help our partners on the ground in Ukraine provide tens of thousands of vulnerable Jews with the very basics of daily living: food, shelter, medicine and care.
Helping the elderly, children, displaced families, schools, synagogues and community centers is a large reason the UJFT exists. And why your gift is so important.

Nepal Relief Fund
Our overseas partner, JDC, has set up an emergency campaign to provide urgent assistance in the wake of the devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Nepal on April 25, and from the quake that followed on May 12. Thousands died, many were injured, and the destruction in Kathmandu and the surrounding region, including northeast India, is widespread.
It's at times like this, that our shared commitment to Tikkun Olam, repairing the world, finds its deepest expression.
With your generous gifts, the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater and Tidewater Jewish Foundation can continue to support our partners in the unparalleled immediate relief and long-term assistance they provide to victims of natural and manmade disasters around the globe.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Nepalese people, all victims of the earthquakes, and their friends and families.
