People continue to turn to the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater for help. And with the generous support of our donors, we continue to meet the needs of the most vulnerable among us – at home and around the world. Berger Goldrich Home at Beth Sholom Village
Provide short and long-term nursing care and rehabilitative therapy to those recovering from injury or surgery.
Jewish Family Service of Tidewater
Provide for services for children and families in grief; end of life care (hospice services) for terminally ill individuals, hunger relief and emergency financial assistance for families in crisis, social programming for adults with disabilities, advocacy services for cognitively impaired adults who require protection and assistance, and so much more.
Marvin and Marilyn Simon Family Jewish Community Center
Provide summer camp scholarships for Jewish children needing financial assistance, specially designed exercise programs for senior adults including therapy pool and equipment.

This program identifies gifted children, aged 13-25, from underprivileged backgrounds, and provides them with the opportunity for advanced studies.
- Center for Independent Living, Tel Aviv, Israel
Community-based multi-service center was developed by and managed and operated by the disabled for the disabled. Our funds support peer counseling and support groups, access to technology and assistive technologies, independent living workshops and an emergency hotline.
- Jaffe Jewish Family Service, Budapest, Hungary
Subsidize services and provision of food, medicine, clothing and financial relief for families struggling with poverty and illness.
- Neve Michael, Israel
Support the provision of non-reimbursable special therapeutic services at a residential treatment center for youth at-risk in Israel.
- Pardes Katz, Israel
Located outside of Tel Aviv, Pardes Katz has been an Israeli sister community with Tidewater for over 20 years. Our funds assist the community center’s dental clinic, computer lab, pre-school, summer camp, after school programs, teen activities, and meals for the elderly.
Our funds have supported programs that provide food and nourishment to our fellow Jews throughout Romania.
