33 Whatever being Jewish means to you, building community and inspiring a love of Jewish life and culture is something we can all celebrate.  Whether that means attending Jewish day school, connecting with friends and neighbors, or experiencing Israel for the first time, building Jewish community is a labor of love.  Join us.

Israel and Overseas

  • Birthright Israel
Subsidize trips for first-time visitors to Israel who are between 18-25.
  • Bucharest Jewish Community Center, Romania
Subsidize this rapidly growing community center. This year our funding will be directed toward the underwriting and support of youth programs and activities.
  • ORT, Former Soviet Union (FSU)
Our funds provide a year-round busing-transportation program for the 310 Jewish children attending an ORT school in Zaporozhe, Ukraine.
  • ORT, Israel
Support for ORT’s project to develop high-tech smart classes in Israeli high schools as part of its Kadima Mada (Science Journey) program raising the standard of science and technology education in the Jewish State. The Federation will supply two smart boards and faculty training at schools in at-risk areas—one to a secular school and one to an orthodox school.
  • Summer camp in Cristian, Romania
Provide scholarships to underwrite the experiences of Jewish children of Romania.
