The Women's Division of the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater provides a vehicle for women to collectively promote, enhance and celebrate Jewish life. The Women's Division works to strengthen the community while demonstrating the impact a woman can make by voicing her support through the Annual Campaign.
Women have traditionally served in volunteer roles as activists and care-givers. Until recently, few have viewed themselves as philanthropists with the power to shape the future of the Jewish community. Statistics tell us that over the next few years there will be a great shift of wealth to the women of the Jewish community. It will then be incumbent upon us to assume the mantle of responsibility to make practical and often difficult decisions about how to fund the institutions that we love and that our community needs.
Women's 2014 Campaign Status (as of June 10, 2014)
- $1,312,643 raised
- 613 women's gifts
- 5.91% card-for-card increase from last year

The Chai Division is a campaign division for women who give a gift of $1,800-$4,999 to the Annual Campaign.
The Tikva Division is the newest level of leadership women’s giving in the UJFT Annual Campaign. A Tikva donor is one making an individual annual campaign commitment between $3,600 and $4,999 to the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater.
