United Jewish Federation of Tidewater is coordinating efforts to support our agencies and each other, especially during the COVID-19 crisis.

How to help

  • Donate Blood - Donating blood is one of the most effective ways healthy people can help during the coronavirus crisis. One donation can save up to 3 lives. Learn more here.

  • Make Masks for Health Care Workers - Join the Facebook Group: Covid-19 Sewing Taskforce for Hampton Roads. To learn how to make a mask, click here.

  • Feed the Hungry! Jewish Family Service Food Pantry:
    • The food pantry needs masks for their volunteers and donations of gift cards to grocery stores. To donate these items, go to the JFS clinical offices at 5000 Corporate Woods Drive, Virginia Beach, call 459-4640, and someone will meet you in the parking lot to accept your donation.
    • Donations of non-perishable items can be dropped off in front of the main entrance of the Simon Family JCC. There is high demand for peanut butter and tuna.
